Welcome and Thank You for choosing to be a participant in our Minneapolis, National Franchise & Business Opportunities EXPO. Please take a moment to read the exhibitor manual, which will provide you with all of the necessary information to help make your participation in the Show more profitable and enjoyable. The Show Office will be set up at the Minneapolis Convention Center on Friday March 19, 2010 at noon and management will be available to assist you for the duration of the Show.

MOVE- IN INSTRUCTIONS

EXHIBITOR MOVE-IN TIMES
Friday, March 19, 2010     12:00 noon - 6:00pm

Exhibitors will not be permitted to set up during show hours. All exhibits must be set up by Friday at 6pm unless alternate arrangements have been made with show management

LOADING DOCKS
There is no dock level access available at the Ballroom load-in location. Load in for the ballroom happens at the 12th St. entrance to the building through a 7' x 7' roll-up door.

If you plan on having a vehicle or trailer in your booth as part of your display, you must arrive for move-in between 11am & noon on Friday March 19 , 2010.

VEHICLES ON THE SHOW FLOOR
Operation of GASOLINE/DIESEL POWERED VEHICLES is permitted during move in/out periods. Gasoline/Diesel vehicles may not be operated in the exhibit area during show hours.

Gasoline/Diesel operated vehicles on display must have:

  • Fuel tank caps locked or taped shut
  • Battery cables disconnected
  • Fuel tanks are not to be more than ¼ full or 5 gallons, whichever is less
  • Protective covering under tires on terrazzo or carpeted surfaces
  • Written permission from MCC management to display such vehicles on carpeted surfaces
  • Any vehicle that drips oil or other staining solutions may not be operated within the MCC without a drip pan or dry absorption powder. Exhibitors will be charged for all cleaning and/or replacement costs for stain removal.
Vehicle cleaning (using wax or Armor-all) on terrazzo floor or Exhibit Hall surfaces creates very hazardous and slippery conditions. Application must be done with a pre-soaked cloth. Spray cans or bottles are not permitted. All hard floor surfaces must be totally covered with a non-porous covering during application of waxes or Armor-all products.

Touch-up painting of vehicles is not permitted without prior approval by MCC management.

Should you require assistance setting up or dismantling your booth, Hubbell Tyner can provide this service. See attached sheet for rates.

NOTE: The Minneapolis Convention Center will not accept shipments on behalf of an exhibitor, either prior to or during show hours.

SHIPPING DIRECT TO SHOW TO ARRIVE ON MARCH 19, 2010
You may ship your materials directly to the show during move-in hours. During move in hours, show management will accept shipments on your behalf. These will be left on the dock until you arrive.

To move your material to your booth, pump trucks and dollies will be available at no charge. If you know that you will require the use of a forklift or assistance moving your material to your booth, please speak with your sales representative, prior to the show, as charges may apply.

PRE SHOW SHIPPING (Shipping prior to move-in day, March 19, 2010)
If you need to ship prior to March 19, 2010, you may ship to the Show Decorator. Hubbell Tyner is set up to receive, store, deliver and then set your materials in your exhibit space, on move-in day. The deadline to ship preshow is March 15, 2010, to avoid additional charges.

SAMPLING

Samples must be limited to bite size samples. If you plan on sampling you must be sure that your sales rep. is aware of this , as we must make an application 2 weeks prior to the show on your behalf.

EXHIBITOR BADGES

Name badges, will be available for your staff, providing we receive the names by March 12, 2010. If we do not receive them by this date your badges will contain only your company name. Please email the names to: badges@nationalevent.com . Be sure to include your company name and contact. You will receive notification of receipt.

We ask that you limit the number of staff in a 10x10 booth to 3 at any one time. Badges will be available for pick up at the Show Office during move-in and they must be worn at all times to gain admittance to the Show.

If you require extra free tickets for colleagues, family members, etc., please contact Rosemary Lanni at rlanni@nationalevent.com. These will be left for pick up at the show, at Ticket Sales.

The Federal ID Number for the Minneapolis Convention Center is 41-6005375. You will require this number to clear customs.

National Event Management Inc. will not assume responsibility for losses or damages incurred from pilferage or any other causes. Exhibitors should take all possible precautions to protect their own property, including insurance for liability within your booth space.

RULES & REGULATIONS

Booth Display & Restrictions

No exhibit may exceed a maximum height of 8 ft. Side panels 8 ft. high, must not exceed a depth of 4 ft. extending from the back of the display. The remainder of the 6 ft depth from the front of the booth, must not exceed a 4ft. height. Any exception to this must have pre-approval from Show Management.

Prefab booth partitions must be finished on both sides. If they are not, please request drapes prior to the show.


Signage

No signage or material may be extended above the 8ft height at the back of your booth nor hung from the ceiling or across the aisle, without approval from Show Management.

Demonstrations/Distributions

Displays, demonstrations or distribution of advertising materials, are not permitted outside the confines of your booth. The use of microphones is not permitted without prior management approval.

Fire Regulations

National Event Management is obligated to abide by the Fire Code regulations in each city. We therefore retain the right to refuse any material or object that does not confirm to code. Animals

Only working animals are allowed in the building.

Helium Balloons

Balloons are allowed in the Center.

They must be contained & secured in the booth. If a balloon needs to be retrieved there will be a charge to do so.
