Welcome and Thank You for choosing to be a participant in our Vancouver, National Franchise & Business Opportunities Show. Please take a moment to read the exhibitor manual, which will provide you with all of the necessary information to help make your participation in the Show more profitable and enjoyable. The Show Office will be set up at the Vancouver Convention Centre, on Friday February 27th at 8 am and management will be available to assist you for the duration of the Show.

EXHIBITOR MOVE-IN TIMES

Friday, February 27, 2009     10:00 am - 6:00 pm

Exhibitor and freight entry to the Vancouver Convention Centre is via the upper East Truck Route at the foot of Howe St. This route has a one-way access only and is 16' wide and 13"6" maximum Height.

All vehicles arriving for move-in / move-out, will be directed to a holding lot if the VCEC cannot accommodate them immediately.

Delivery of freight other than what is a normal armload is prohibited via the VCEC lobby & concourse, all passenger elevators, escalators & stairs.

Exhibitors will not be permitted to set up during show hours. All exhibits must be set up by Friday at 6pm unless alternate arrangements have been made with show management

NOTE: The Vancouver Convention Centre will NOT accept shipments prior to the Show move-in time.

PRE SHOW SHIPPING (Shipping before move-in on February 27, 2009):
We recommend that you use Reimer if you need to ship prior to the show. As the official show carrier they will warehouse your materials for up to 30 days prior to the show and deliver to the show on move - in day.

Be sure your shipment is labeled clearly.

You may ship your materials directly to the show during move-in hours. During move in hours, show management will accept shipments on your behalf. If you require assistance moving your supplies to your booth, assistance will be available. If a forklift is needed there will be a charge.

EXHIBITOR BADGE FORM

Name badges, will be available for your staff, providing we receive the names by February 20, 2009. If we do not receive them by this date your badges will contain only your company name. Please email the names to badges@nationalevent.com.

We ask that you limit the number of staff in a 10x10 booth to 4 at any one time. Badges will be available for pick up at the Show Office during move-in and they must be worn at all times to gain admittance to the Show.

If you require extra free tickets for colleagues, family members, etc., please contact Rosemary Lanni at rlanni@nationalevent.com. These will be left for pick up at the show.

ELECTRICAL

Electrical is not supplied to your booth. If you require an outlet in your booth space, please complete the attached form and fax to the Vancouver Convention Centre.

RULES & REGULATIONS

Insurance

National Event Management Inc. will not assume responsibility for losses or damages incurred from pilferage or any other causes. Exhibitors should take all possible precautions to protect their own property, uncluding insurance for liability insurance for liability within your booth space.


Booth Display & Restrictions

No exhibit may exceed a maximum height of 8 ft. Side panels 8 ft. high, must not exceed a depth of 4 ft. extending from the back of the display. The remainder of the 6 ft depth from the front of the booth, must not exceed a 4ft. height. Any exception to this must have pre-approval from Show Management.

Prefab booth partitions must be finished on both sides. If they are not, please request drapes prior to the show.

Signage

No signage or material may be extended above the 8ft height at the back of your booth nor hung from the ceiling or across the aisle, without approval from Show Management.

Demonstrations/Distributions

Displays, demonstrations or distribution of advertising materials, are not permitted outside the confines of your booth. The use of microphones is not permitted without prior management approval.

Fire Regulations

National Event Management is obligated to abide by the Fire Code regulations in each city. We therefore retain the right to refuse any material or object that does not confirm to code. Vancouver Convention Centre Fire Prevention

Animals

Animals or pets, with the exception of Service Animals are not permitted in the VCEC. Exceptions are for approved exhibit, activity or performance requiring use of animals. Owners take full responsibility for their animals, which must be leashed or in an enclosed pen. Please contact your show sales rep who will forward your request.

Helium Balloons

Helium-filled balloons or other inflatables are permitted if approved by the facility. A deposit is required. All helium tanks are to be stored and secured in an upright position. Approvals and requests for on-site storage of tanks should be made to your Show Manager who will then contact the facility.

Balloon Waiver

Vehicles

Motor vehicles or gasoline - powered equipment on display will be restricted to a quarter tank of fuel. The tank cap must either be locked or sealed with masking tape and the batteries disconnected.
