Shawn Saraga brings more than ten years of experience to the Toronto office, and has helped sign hundreds of franchise agreements and leases over the course of his career. Shawn started his own company, Mr. Franchise, which worked with more than 120 brands across Canada to recruit franchisees and provide tenant representation and marketing consulting services. A subsidiary, Marathon Realty, was created in 2012 to strengthen the real estate portion of the company and merged with Cushman & Wakefield in April of 2014. There, Shawn headed up a team responsible for recruitment, tenant representation and marketing consulting services to franchisors across Canada and abroad. Of the hundreds of retailers that Shawn has worked with, many of them are notable national, and international brands such as Burger King, Red Roof Hotels, Trade Secrets, and Playdium Entertainment Centres.

He was promoted to Director of Franchise Finance nationally in 2012 overseeing the department’s national presence in franchise financing. Besides his banking experience, Joseph has built a strong business acumen from being an entrepreneur of a small business as well as, working in the advertising industry.

Based out of Toronto, Joseph’s role as Director of Franchise Finance consists of identifying, developing and managing a portfolio of financial service programs aimed at facilitating financing and cash management products for franchise networks as well as other industry verticals.
